Trump Praises Daring Rescue of U.S. Airman in Iran Operation

Following the dramatic recovery of a downed F-15 airman in Southwest Iran, President Donald Trump shared his enthusiasm for the successful military operation that unfolded over nearly 48 hours.

In a Truth Social post, Trump excitedly declared, “WE GOT HIM!” and assured his fellow Americans that the courageous Colonel is now “SAFE and SOUND!”

Trump detailed how the airman had safely ejected from the aircraft and utilized his training to escape the crash site, ultimately alerting rescue teams from a ridge. The operation was characterized by the involvement of relentless U.S. military efforts, monitoring the airman’s location continuously.

The president noted that this operation was interlaced with high risks as the airman faced adversaries in treacherous mountains. Yet, he emphasized that the airman was not alone, crediting the vigilance of military leaders, including the Commander in Chief.

Eight hours of intense air coverage were necessary, which led to significant enemy losses during the mission. Reports from Fox News indicated that an A-10 Warthog was instrumental in the operation, though it was later destroyed to safeguard sensitive equipment.

“He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine,” Trump reassured, adding that the recent triumphs of the U.S. military reflected an unprecedented capability to rescue pilots deeply within enemy territory.

He reiterated a commitment, stating, “WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND!” and celebrated the remarkable success without American casualties, emphasizing the dominance over Iranian airspace.

In closing, Trump called for unity among Americans to recognize the strength and professionalism of the military, wishing a joyous Easter to all. “We truly have the best, most professional, and lethal Military in the History of the World,” he added.

Despite the day’s extraordinary events, Trump later opted to remain at the White House rather than travel to Mar-A-Lago, marking a departure from his usual weekend patterns.

While the casualty figures among Iranian forces remain unclear, Trump confirmed that no U.S. personnel were harmed during the operation. It is noted that Iranian state media reported that several adversaries were killed or injured in the surrounding region.
