Following his attendance at the Supreme Court’s hearing on birthright citizenship, President Donald Trump expressed his strong disapproval of the current policy. Upon leaving the courthouse, he took to Truth Social to voice his sentiments.
Trump stated, “We are the only Country in the World STUPID enough to allow ‘Birthright’ Citizenship!” This reflects his ongoing critique of policies he believes are detrimental to the nation.
During the more than hour-long session, Trump was present for Solicitor General John Sauer’s argument. Reports indicate he entered the room shortly before the proceedings began and stayed through Sauer’s lengthy presentation, which lasted 65 minutes.
He also heard a portion of the ACLU’s argument delivered by legal director Cecillia Wang, remaining for about seven minutes of her rebuttal.
