During a campaign event held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, Donald Trump, the former President, made a commitment to the audience that if he were to be elected as President in November, his administration would strive to eradicate taxes imposed on tips earned by individuals employed in the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and various other occupations.
“So, this is the first time I’ve said this. And, for those hotel workers and people that get tips, you’re going to be very happy,” Trump announced.
“Because when I get to office, we are going to not charge taxes on tips — people making tips.”
