Israel Intensifies Military Operations in Lebanon

The Israeli military has initiated a targeted ground operation in southern Lebanon, as tensions rise with Hezbollah engaging in attacks on Israel. This strategic move aims to expand the buffer zone along the border for enhanced security.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division commenced operations late Saturday in the eastern section of the region. During this operation, they encountered and neutralized several Hezbollah operatives.

The military’s objective is to broaden what they term the “forward defense area,” which involves dismantling terrorist infrastructure and addressing threats to bolster security for northern residents.

On Monday, Fox News reporter Trey Yingst confirmed the ongoing operation. Ahead of this ground assault, the IDF reported substantial airstrikes and artillery fire aimed at neutralizing threats in the area.

Israeli forces are actively involved in several sectors of southern Lebanon as the operation expands. The 146th Reserve Division is operating in the western area, while the 36th Division has begun its own actions in the east.

Officials have indicated that these military efforts could escalate further, with plans to deploy more forces to ensure a wider buffer against Hezbollah, pushing them away from Israel’s northern border.
