Trump Bursts Into Laughter Upon Hearing Intel About Iran’s New Leader

Former President Trump reportedly expressed astonishment and amusement last week when U.S. intelligence briefed him about unexpected information concerning Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader.

According to intelligence sources, there are allegations suggesting Khamenei may be gay, which had raised concerns with his father, the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, about his capability to rule.

Trump laughed upon hearing this intelligence, and the atmosphere in the room remained light-hearted, with one senior official reportedly still chuckling days later.

The information was shared with The Post by multiple intelligence officials as well as a White House insider.

All three sources emphasized that U.S. spy agencies view the claims not as disinformation but credible. Mojtaba Khamenei, age 56, assumed leadership on March 8 after his father’s death.

Reports from two sources suggest that Mojtaba had a long-term relationship with a childhood tutor, while a third source indicated it may have involved an individual formerly associated with the Khamenei family.

Furthermore, it was noted that during his recovery from injuries sustained in a recent airstrike, Mojtaba allegedly made overtures toward male caregivers.

While U.S. agencies lack photographic evidence of these claims, the intelligence is considered reliable, derived from highly protected sources. The fact that these insights reached the highest government levels indicates a level of confidence in their authenticity.

Speculation about Khamenei’s sexuality has circulated within Iran, especially following the tragic death of then-President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.

This information has remained closely guarded within the U.S. government, indicating the sensitivity surrounding the subject.

Trump has previously criticized Mojtaba as an undesirable successor for Iran, and experts believe he will continue Iran’s aggressive stance on nuclear and missile development.

Additional revelations about Mojtaba’s background have resurfaced, including a 2008 U.S. cable that indicated he received treatment in the U.K. for impotence.

This report detailed that Mojtaba married late in life, around age 30, with the hope of soon having children after resolving his medical issues.

Tragically, his wife and son were among the casualties in the recent airstrike that also took the life of his father, leaving him with one surviving son and a daughter.
