Donald Trump, the ex-President, has discussed his future plans following the guilty verdicts in Manhattan, New York, and the effects of the trial on his family.
“We’re going to be appealing this scam. We’re going to be appealing it on many different things. He [Judge Juan Merhcan] wouldn’t allow us to have witnesses, he wouldn’t allow us to talk, he wouldn’t allow us to do anything. The judge was a tyrant,” Trump said.
“We’re going to fight,” he said. “I’m wired in such a way that a lot of people would have gone away a long time ago. They would have gone away after impeachment hoaxes.”
He further expressed his gratitude for the support he has received through campaign donations following the verdict, stating that he felt privileged by the overwhelming support.
“It’s not that it’s pleasant — it’s very bad for family; it’s very bad for friends and businesses, but I’m honored to be involved in it because somebody has to do it, and I might as well keep going and be the one,” Trump said.
“I’m very honored to be involved because we’re fighting for our Constitution,” the former president said. “I don’t mind because I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country and to save our Constitution. I don’t mind. This can’t be allowed to happen to other presidents; it should never be allowed to happen in the future. But this is far beyond me. This is bigger than Trump. This is bigger than me.”
“Make America great again,” he said. “Remember November 5.”
On Sunday, he engaged in a conversation with Fox News, wherein he elaborated on the possibility of being incarcerated and the potential adverse impact it could have on the nation. Throughout the interview, he expressed his belief that a prison term would serve as a pivotal moment for his followers.
The legal maze that you’re still facing, and they could, a judge could decide to say, hey, house arrest or even jail. It could be faced,” Fox News host Pete Hegseth said to the former president.
“I saw one of my lawyers the other day on television saying, oh, no, you don’t want to do that to the press. I said don’t you don’t beg for anything,” he said.
“That could happen,” the former president said of the prospect of him being sent to jail,
“I don’t know that the public would stand it, you know, I don’t. I’m not sure the public would stand for it with a I think I think it would be tough for the public to take, you know at a certain point, there’s a breaking point,” he said. Additionally, he discussed the court proceedings and shared his perspective on the manner in which it was managed:
“It’s weaponization, and it’s a very dangerous thing. We’ve never had that in this country,” the former president said.
“People get it. It’s a scam,” he said. “And the Republican Party… they’ve stuck together in this. They see it’s a weaponization of the Justice Department of the FBI, and that’s all coming out of Washington.”
Additionally, he addressed the impact of the trial on his family, specifically his spouse, the former first lady Melania Trump.
“She’s fine, but I think it’s very hard for her,” he said. “She has to read all this crap.”
“I think it’s probably in many ways, it’s tougher on my family than it is on me,” he said.
technically Trump has been under house arrest ever since he announced running for president way back June 15th or 16th, 2015 … ever since he has been shadowed by several men (secret service) preventing his 100% freedom.
