He Xiaopeng, CEO of XPeng Motors, anticipates a significant impact on America’s auto industry due to the introduction of affordable electric vehicles (EVs) made in China.
Former President Donald Trump recently expressed concerns about the potential consequences for the American auto industry if strict tariffs are not imposed on China-made EVs. He warned of job losses and the offshoring of the industry, painting a grim picture for the country.
“We’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car that comes across the line and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected,” Trump said.
“Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole, that’s going to be the least of it, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country, that’s going to be the least of it.”

Xiaopeng’s statement echoed remarks made by Trump, as mentioned in a letter addressed to XPeng employees and obtained by CNBC recently.
In the letter, Xiaopeng conveyed his belief that the American auto industry is headed towards a tumultuous period this year, referring to it as a “bloodbath.”
Furthermore, Xiaopeng expressed China’s intention to assert its dominance in the global electric vehicle market by aiming for a decisive victory against its Western rivals, including the United States, labeling it as a “brutal knockout round.”

“This year also marks the beginning of a fierce competition that may end in a ‘bloodbath’ (or as I prefer to call it, the brutal ‘knockout round’) among Chinese auto makers,” Xiaopeng wrote in the employee memo.
XPeng has engaged in this cutthroat competition right from the outset, thus accumulating considerable experience.
“Our guts, grit and perseverance, I firmly believe, will lead us to victory,” Xiaopeng added.
As previously stated by Breitbart News, the mainstream media and President Joe Biden’s campaign swiftly seized upon Trump’s comments, portraying them as a potential indication of political unrest in the event of his loss in this year’s election.
“This is who Donald Trump is: a loser who gets beat by over 7 million votes and then instead of appealing to a wider mainstream audience doubles down on his threats of political violence,” Biden campaign spokesman James Singer said.
“Trump wants another January 6, but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge,” he continued.
