Kamala Harris, former vice president of the United States of America (Vice President), accused Donald Trump of being a “tyrant”. This was one of the strongest indications yet of her plans to run for President in 2028.
Harris said in the first BBC interview she gave since the presidential elections of 2024, “I’ve lived my career in service and I feel it in my bones.” Harris went on to say that she was confident that within her lifetime, a woman would be elected president. She then confirmed that she plans to run for office again.
Harris replied that the woman in question could possibly be Harris HTML1.
The host pointed out to the audience that some bookmakers do not predict a Harris win, and that Dwayne Johnson (aka “The Rock”) is given more of a chance in other books than Harris. She replied by saying that she had never been a big pollster.
In a discussion about President Trump, former Vice-President Biden accused the president of weaponizing the Justice Department, after the Biden and Harris Administration filed criminal charges against Trump as well as his allies, supporters, and dozens more.
She said that “he said he’d weaponize the Department of Justice – and he did exactly that.” Harris pointed out that ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel was briefly suspended after he falsely claimed that conservative activist Charlie Kirk had been killed by Trump supporters.
After Harris’ remarks, the White House quickly reacted.
Abigail Jackson, spokesperson for the White House said: “Kamala Harris should have taken the hint when she lost her election by a wide margin.” The American people are not interested in her ridiculous lies. Maybe she got the hint and is continuing to complain to foreign media.
Harris’s polling is indeed good in hypothetical polls for 2028, but these polls are notoriously unpredictable with three years left until Election Day.
The Race to the White House average polling shows that the former Vice President continues to be the frontrunner with 24.6 percent. Harris has also been at the top of a few polls over recent months. She peaked in April with 34 percent before suffering a drop.
California Governor Gavin Newsom is now in second place, just behind Harris. Newsom also led a few recent polls, and was the frontrunner for a two-week span in September.
The former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg also tops a few polls, and is currently ranked third. However, his shocking numbers with black voters may doom the campaign even before it starts.
