Mamdani Begs for Cash Hours after Winning the Mayoral Election

Zohran mamdani is already asking New Yorkers for their money, even though he hasn’t picked the drapes yet.

Mamdani is the fiery far-left activist who stunned former Governor. Andrew Cuomo, who beat Curtis Sliwa and the GOP candidate Curtis Sliwa for New York City’s next Mayor, uploaded a video of his victory on X following his win. This immediately drew criticism because it was turned into a money pitch.

Mamdani said that the transition would be busy and “there is a lot to do.” Mamdani said that resources were needed to hire experts and to build “infrastructure.”

Mamdani also wrote “Thank You, New York City” next to the video. Together we created history. “Now let’s start working.”

Many New Yorkers didn’t buy it.

It’s only been 24 hours since Mamdani’s election victory & already he is asking for money. Bravo New York City!, a person fumed at X.

One person sneered, “Mamdani is a Communist and Islamist who promises free stuff.” He now begs donations?”

“Already begging for money. Another user remarked, “What a joke!”

To further emphasize their criticism of Mamdani’s cash appeal, critics circulated an image of him with Alex Soros – the son of George Soros – a billionaire. The user said, “Before you go to the taxpayers and ask for money, make sure that you have asked your closest friends.”

While he intends to provide “free” service, his actions suggest that he is expecting supporters to pay for the establishment of the administration. The contradiction between the public’s trust in him and his need to raise private funds is a major problem.

Mamdani’s fund-raising campaign is troubling. This is especially true given that his fundraising platform relies on the notion of distribution of resources, without a clear statement of where this money should come from. It is ironic that a politician who calls himself a socialist would do this.

Mamdani is now leading New York City, and the future of its residents remains uncertain. In his first 24 hours as president, Mamdani has served as a reminder that nothing comes for free in politics.
