Yohenry Brito, a violent criminal illegal, who had previously attacked and beaten several New York police officers, has been bailed out by a left-wing Lutheran priest in New York City.
After being held at Rikers Island since his arrest for the assault on January 27 in Times Square, Brito was released on Tuesday when a priest from the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Brooklyn provided the $15,000 bail money for the illegal alien.
Rev. Juan Ruiz, the priest, justified his actions by stating that the church is a “sanctuary” church and aimed to secure the release of the illegal immigrant, who already had a criminal record, similar to many others involved in the attack.
“Our church is basically a sanctuary,” Ruiz said, according to the New York Post.
“We assume that people are innocent until they are proven otherwise.”
The collaborator further asserted that the individual who crossed the border illegally was subjected to an arrest that was influenced by political motives.
Additionally, he emphasized that there is a significant amount of undisclosed information regarding the assault carried out by the illegal aliens.
“Sanctuary gives you that kind of breathing space,” Ruiz exclaimed.
Nevertheless, even though the leftist priest asserted to provide “sanctuary,” the Post disclosed that Brito, a 24-year-old undocumented immigrant from Venezuela, will not be seeking refuge at the church and has been released on his own recognizance, similar to the majority of others released by New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Video footage of the incident captures two NYPD officers instructing a group of loitering undocumented immigrants to disperse right before the immigrants unexpectedly attack the officers and start assaulting them.

Nine undocumented individuals were apprehended following the incident.
However, New York District Attorney Bragg, who is supported by George Soros, released most of them without bail, despite the fact that their offenses are eligible for bail.
After the initial group was released with a mere promise to appear in court, some of them reportedly boarded a bus bound for California, as per the Post.
While the majority were granted freedom, Brito was detained on a $50,000 bond due to evidence suggesting he was among the first to initiate the attack on the police officers.
Additionally, he had two prior misdemeanor cases on his criminal record.
Patrick Hendry, the president of the Police Benevolent Association, criticized the lenient approach of the prosecutor’s office towards undocumented individuals, accusing them of transforming the justice system into a “revolving door” where suspects are arrested and promptly released.
