Newly released photos show the chilling rooftop perch where investigators say a sniper positioned himself before firing the fatal shot that killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Rooftop Evidence
Images reviewed by investigators depict a gravel-covered roof, believed to be the Losee Center, with five orange evidence flags marking indentations that may have been left by the gunman’s body and hands.

From that vantage point, the shooter had a clear line of sight to the white tent where Kirk addressed a crowd of roughly 3,000 people.
Moments later, Kirk, 31, was struck in the neck by a high-powered, bolt-action rifle round fired from nearly 200 yards away.

The FBI has offered up to $100,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and released surveillance photos of a “person of interest”:
a lanky man in dark clothing, wraparound sunglasses, and a T-shirt featuring an eagle and American flag with the words “Land of the free, home of the brave.”

Anyone with information is urged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips online.
Murder Weapon and Ideological Markings
A .30-06 Mauser rifle, wrapped in a towel, was recovered in a wooded area near the Orem campus. A memo from the ATF indicated the cartridges bore engravings referencing transgender and anti-fascist ideology — though DOJ officials cautioned the description has not yet been fully confirmed.
The FBI said they also collected a footprint, palm print, and forearm imprints at the rooftop site, now under forensic analysis.

Kirk was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead. He leaves behind his wife Erika and their two young children.
National Reaction
President Donald Trump called Kirk a “giant of his generation” and announced Thursday that he will posthumously award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
Turning Point USA, the group Kirk founded at age 18, called him “America’s greatest martyr to the freedom of speech he so adored.”
The organization said:
“More than anyone, Charlie believed in the power of argument and good-faith debate to find the truth. Now Charlie has become America’s greatest martyr to the freedom of speech he so adored.”

Well, what about the two (supposed security) standing behind Kirk with one holding a phone which may/may not have a wind directional/speed app which the shooter was zoomed in on to know where to aim. I don’t know if there is such an app, but security might have something. Odd these two men seem to be signaling the assassin.
