A disturbing video has surfaced showing a man celebrating in the immediate aftermath of the fatal shooting of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on Wednesday at Utah Valley University.
The Footage
The clip, ripped from live TV feeds and widely shared online, shows a bearded man with long hair wearing a black T-shirt and backwards baseball cap.

While panicked spectators dropped to the ground after the shot rang out, the man remained standing, pumping his fists and appearing to cheer.
He then looked backward in the apparent direction from which the fatal bullet was fired.
“This guy happens to know where the shooter was and is looking back, cheering him on after the lifeless body of Charlie Kirk has fallen to the ground,” one user wrote on X.

Others expressed outrage: “How psychotic do you have to be to cheer as Charlie Kirk gushes blood and dies, while others scream and cower?”
Law Enforcement Response
The Utah County Sheriff’s Department confirmed it has been made aware of the video and is reviewing it as part of the broader investigation.

The FBI’s Salt Lake City field office has also released photos of a “person of interest” but has not linked the individual in the cheering video to that notice.
The Shooting
Kirk, 31, was struck in the neck by a single bullet fired from roughly 200 yards away as he spoke to students under a tent on campus.
Horrific footage showed him recoiling before collapsing.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
The assassination has sent shockwaves across the political spectrum, with leaders from both parties condemning the violence.
President Donald Trump ordered flags lowered to half-staff through Sunday and delivered a solemn Oval Office address.
Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, adjusted their travel plans to visit Salt Lake City on Thursday to meet with Kirk’s family.
The manhunt for Kirk’s killer remains ongoing after two earlier detentions — both later cleared — heightened scrutiny of investigators’ handling of the case.
