Tragedy strikes the Harrison family, best known for starring in the hit show “Pawn Stars.”
Adam Harrison, the 39-year-old son of Pawn Stars legend Rick Harrison, has died.
Laura Herlovich, Harrison’s publicist, confirmed the devastating news in a statement to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
“Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss,” Herlovich stated on behalf of the Harrison family.
According to TMZ, the Harrisons got the tragic news on Friday.
Although the actual circumstances of Adam’s death were unclear at this time, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department launched an investigation.
It was subsequently discovered that Adam Harrison likely died of a drug overdose. As reported in an update by TMZ:
A rep for the ‘Pawn Stars’ reality star tells us Adam recently died from a fatal overdose … and we’re told the family only just found out today. At this time, it’s unclear where Adam was exactly when he passed — and the specific circumstances are also unknown at this time.
Adam was Rick Harrison’s second kid with his ex-wife Kim. Adam is the younger brother of series regular Corey Harrison, however he did not appear on the long-running series. Adam worked at Gold & Silver Pawn before to the show’s 2009 launch, but he has not worked there subsequently, according to TMZ.
Rick Harrison shared a snapshot of the two on Instagram, captioned “You will always be in my heart.” “I love you, Adam.”
