In response, the journal’s editor has agreed to retract the article, which has raised concerns about editorial policies and ethical publication practices. The defamation proceedings are ongoing, and over 250 scientists and researchers have signed an open letter demanding the withdrawal of the lawsuit and the preservation of the study.
