Watch: Biden Struggles to Set up Beach Chair in Malibu During 4th of July Weekend

Former President Joe Biden was spotted fumbling with a beach chair in Malibu on Thursday, kicking off his first Independence Day weekend since being forced out of the 2024 race after a humiliating debate with Donald Trump.

Now 82, the ex-president looked frail but content as he lounged under a red umbrella with Jill Biden, while his grandkids played nearby on the sand — just a short walk from Hunter Biden’s coastal mansion.

During his presidency, Biden never released cognitive test results, nor PSA screenings that could have detected the cancer earlier.

Biden, who infamously took more vacation days than any modern president, racked up 577 days off during his four-year term. He spent them at luxury spots like St. Croix, Nantucket, and Rehoboth Beach.

Those beach trips gave Americans more than just postcards — they gave viral clips of Biden falling off a bike, stumbling through the sand, and looking visibly confused — fueling questions about his declining health.

From Beach to Sushi

After packing up his chair and towel, Biden was seen dining with Hunter at Malibu’s elite sushi spot, Nobu — the same day photos of him at the beach went public.

Earlier in the week, Biden gave a keynote address at a human resources conference in San Diego. In one bizarre moment, he told the audience:

“There are moments we’ll never get back,” referencing advice he gave White House staff to put family before work.

Mental Fitness Under Fire

This beachside retreat comes just one year after Biden’s disastrous 2024 debate against Trump — a moment so disastrous it ended his re-election bid and triggered GOP investigations into who was really running the show.

Now, Republicans are demanding answers about whether Biden was mentally fit during his presidency — or if unelected aides were signing executive actions behind the scenes using the presidential autopen.

‘I’m Incompetent and I Can Beat Them’

A new book by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson alleges a massive cover-up by Biden’s inner circle, hiding his cognitive decline from the American public. Biden’s response?

“You can see that I’m mentally incompetent and I can’t walk and I can beat the hell out of both of them.”

He also insisted in a June statement:

“I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations.”

Cancer Diagnosis and Oversight Heat

Biden’s personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, is set to testify before Congress on July 9, where he’ll be grilled not just on Biden’s cognition — but also on his recent prostate cancer diagnosis.
