Tucker Carlson stunned the political world Saturday with the announcement that he has completed a bombshell interview with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, just ten days after the United States and Iran stood on the brink of all-out war.
Carlson, who made the announcement via video on X, explained why he did the interview — even knowing it would spark outrage in D.C. and corporate media circles.
“We just finished up an interview with Masoud Pezeshkian, who is the president of Iran. A 70-year-old heart surgeon who leads the country we were just at war with a week-and-a-half ago,” Carlson said.
“Our view… is that Americans have the constitutional right, and the God-given right, to all the information they can gather about matters that affect them.”
Carlson, one of the few remaining journalists willing to challenge the Deep State narrative, emphasized that even adversarial voices matter when the stakes are this high.
“You Have the Right to Decide for Yourself”
Carlson admitted outright that viewers should not blindly trust Pezeshkian — but that’s not the point.
“You should be able to decide for yourself whether you believe it or not,” Carlson said.
“Anyone who seeks to deny you that right is not your ally, but your enemy.”
Carlson, who has a long track record of challenging foreign entanglements and regime-change wars, is once again putting transparency over blind allegiance to the D.C. machine.
Interview Conducted Remotely — Netanyahu Invitation Still Pending
The interview with Pezeshkian was conducted remotely and limited due to translation constraints, but Carlson said he left out questions he knew would not get honest answers — a rare show of journalistic integrity.
He also noted he has requested an interview with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the third time in three months, in the interest of balanced reporting.
“We hope he accepts,” Carlson said.

Carlson has built a reputation for interviewing controversial world leaders others won’t touch — including Russian President Vladimir Putin and outreach attempts to Ukraine’s Zelensky, who has yet to accept.
