Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ Passes — Here Are the Crucial Tax Cuts You Need to Know

President Donald Trump’s landmark legislation — the One Big Beautiful Bill Act — has officially passed Congress, delivering on the campaign promises that powered his return to the White House.

The $3.3 trillion tax and spending package now heads to the Oval Office, where Trump will sign it into law on Independence Day, during a patriotic ceremony flanked by military flyovers and B-2 bombers.

“I think I have more power now. More gravitas, more power,” Trump said after the bill passed.
“Biggest tax cut in history, great for security, great on the southern border… It’s the biggest bill ever signed of its kind.”

Trump keeps his promises

The nearly 900-page bill includes:

  • A full extension of Trump’s 2017 tax cuts

  • No federal taxes on tips and overtime

  • Doubling the child tax credit to $2,200

  • Creation of $1,000 Trump investment accounts for babies born after 2024

  • Expanded state and local tax (SALT) deductions

  • Deductions for American-made auto loan interest

Trump praised Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune for pushing the legislation through despite internal GOP battles and Democrat obstruction.

America First spending

The bill delivers big on national security and border enforcement:

  • $150 billion for border security

  • $46 billion to build the wall and increase surveillance and manpower

  • $30 billion for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

  • $150 billion for the military to build Trump’s Golden Dome missile defense system, expand the U.S. Navy, and enhance nuclear deterrence

Cutting the waste

To fund these priorities, Republicans cut over $1.2 trillion in spending:

  • Medicaid cuts that could affect 11 million

  • New work requirements for Medicaid and SNAP

  • Major reductions to Biden’s green energy subsidies, saving nearly $500 billion

  • Slashed funding for programs expanded by Democrats under the Inflation Reduction Act

This is what Trump and Republicans campaigned on — and they delivered.

Chaos in Congress before the win

In both chambers, the bill faced fierce opposition from moderates worried about reelection and conservatives concerned about the price tag.

It passed the Senate by one vote, with Vice President JD Vance breaking the 50-50 tie.

In the House, Johnson had to hold the longest recorded vote in history — over 7 hours and 20 minutes — to flip holdouts.

Trump himself reportedly worked the phones, personally calling reluctant GOP lawmakers to close the deal.

“He’s been working the phones pretty consistently,” one White House official told Politico.
“He’s going to get it over the finish line.”

He did — and with time to spare.

Democrats meltdown on the House floor

Democrats, powerless to stop the bill, turned to stalling tactics.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries delivered a record-breaking 8-hour, 45-minute speech attacking the bill. He rambled through stories about Medicaid recipients while Democrats dozed off behind him.

The stunt only delayed the inevitable.

Shortly after Jeffries finally gave up the mic, Speaker Mike Johnson took the floor and listed off the wins inside the legislation — tax relief, border security, military strength, and fiscal discipline.

Trump’s Golden Age agenda begins

“President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers on the commonsense agenda that nearly 80 million Americans voted for,” said Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“This legislation will fuel an economic boom like we’ve never seen before.”

From tax relief to border security, from military modernization to cutting waste — Trump’s vision for an American revival is now law.

And it all begins on July 4th, when he signs the bill to fireworks, B-2 flyovers, and renewed national pride.
