The far-left career bureaucrats at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are throwing a tantrum after President Trump and EPA Director Lee Zeldin took a sledgehammer to the agency’s bloated, politicized budget, canceling over $22 billion in contracts riddled with corruption, fraud, and globalist ideology.
On June 30, 2025, nearly 300 current and former EPA employees issued a “declaration of dissent,” whining about Trump’s deregulation efforts, job cuts, and restructuring of the agency.
Their letter claims that Trump is “politicizing science” — a laughable accusation from the same radical crowd that’s been pushing climate hysteria, environmental justice grifting, and junk science for decades.
Zeldin Slams the Door on $2 Billion for Stacey Abrams Group
The biggest gut punch for the swamp? Trump’s March cancellation of a $2 billion contract awarded by the Biden administration to an NGO tied to Georgia activist and failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
“They received only $100 in 2023, and then the Biden administration gave them $2 billion,” Zeldin said in March.
“One of the shadiest payouts of all time.”
Zeldin and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) identified $14 billion in redirected taxpayer money laundered through Citibank and funneled to Democrat-aligned environmental nonprofits — a backdoor scheme straight from the Obama-Biden playbook.
One of those nonprofits was tied to Abrams, who has no credentials in climate science but plenty of experience in election denial and political grifting.
“Declaration of Dissent” from the Deep State
Instead of admitting they got caught, 278 current and former EPA employees released a political stunt letter filled with buzzwords, climate panic, and self-righteous indignation.
“Today, we stand together in dissent against the current administration’s focus on harmful deregulation, mischaracterization of previous EPA actions, and disregard for scientific expertise,” the letter states.
Translation: “We’re mad our funding got cut and we can’t funnel cash to our activist friends anymore.”
Office Shutdowns and Research Division Dissolved
Under Trump and Zeldin, the EPA has been consolidated, with multiple redundant offices shuttered, and the entire research division dissolved — the same division responsible for cherry-picking data to justify crushing regulations on American businesses.
Zeldin also cut off grants to “environmental justice” groups — a term that’s become code for radical racialized redistribution schemes in the name of climate equity.
Zeldin Places Remaining Agitators on Leave
After the letter was made public, Zeldin didn’t flinch. He placed the remaining left-wing EPA agitators on leave, signaling that insubordination inside a federal agency would no longer be tolerated.
