Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail Wednesday night after being found guilty on two out of five federal counts in a high-profile trial that exposed years of abuse and criminal activity.
The charges Combs was convicted of involve transporting women across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and two sex trafficking charges.
Judge Slams Combs’ History of Violence
Federal Judge Arun Subramanian shut down Diddy’s last-ditch attempt at bail — even after the defense offered $1 million.
“Even if the defendant was solely required to show that he is not a danger to the community, he could not meet that burden,” the judge said.
He reminded the courtroom that the court already denied bail before trial and had no reason to reverse that decision.
“The defense conceded the defendant’s violence in personal relationships,” the judge added, referring to statements about Cassie Venture and another woman known as “Jane.”
Combs has been in federal custody since his arrest in September.
Sentencing Could Come Early
The judge set sentencing for October 3, but said he’s willing to move the date up if the defense wants it.
The maximum sentence for the prostitution charges is 10 years.
Baby Oil Bizarrely Back in Spotlight
After the verdict, a group of Combs’ supporters were seen spraying baby oil on each other outside the courthouse in a bizarre celebration.
Video shows fans rubbing oil on themselves — the same substance federal agents found in bulk when they raided Combs’ Los Angeles mansion in March 2024.
Agents reportedly discovered hundreds of bottles of baby oil during that raid, according to the New York Post.
